Laich of Moray Active Travel Routes aims to complete the 2007 vision to connect the coastal communities of Burghead, Cummingston, Hopeman, Duffus, Covesea and Lossiemouth with a safe and accessible walking, wheeling and cycling route.

There’s an old road alignment between Royal Air Force Lossiemouth and Moray Golf Club which, if upgraded, would form a perfect part of this route. It would offer a path remote from the busy B9040 with minimal impact on the golf course.

Join us for a stroll along this route, uncovering historical structures and discussing the possibilities of progress. Running as part of the Moray Walking & Outdoor Festival.

Event Details:
Date: Friday 19th June
Time: 18:30 – 20:00

(W3W: accented.stumble.mirror)
Please note this is a very small car park with a height restriction barrier, tight turning, and uneven terrain. Parking elsewhere, e.g. Moray Coast Medical Centre and walking to the start is recommended.

What to wear: warm, comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing. Sturdy shoes as the terrain will be uneven.

Please bring water and a snack if needed, any medication such as an inhaler.

Unfortunately, this walk is unsuitable for wheelchair users due to rough terrain.

Well behaved dogs are welcome but will need to be under control due to a golf course crossing, and proximity to national speed limit road.
